Job Description:

This position will work closely with the Bridge Program Director, instructors, case managers, employers, and county contacts to insure a positive program experience for each Bridge student.   Work with Bridge students from the time of their enrollment, through training and establishing of career goals and employment - to case closure.  This includes follow-up activities with Bridge students and contact with employers. Tracking and reporting confidential information is inherent in this job. Class presentations and prep, conducting career assessments and managing distance learning are also required.  Must understand the current Bridge program goals and requirements, and assist with the completion of the written documentation and reporting that is required of the program.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferably in Career Counseling, High School or Adult Education is required.  Two or more years of experience in instruction and career planning with teens and adults from diverse backgrounds. Instructing in job skills, job readiness and basic computer skills. Demonstrated success in interacting with employers and referral agencies is a plus. Computer skills, flexibility and ability to multi-task as well as excellent oral, written and organizational skills are required.  The job requires travel in four counties and some evening and weekend work. This position is grant funded through the State University of NY since 1998.
